Morgan - 15, 16, 17 March, 2002

Attendance was quite good with 10 members and 7 visitors. Members were, Fred, Emma & Alec, Bruce & Heather, Tony, Ruth & Ian and Geoff & Jeanne. Visitors were John & Helen Young, Glen, Audrey & Natalie Geotrakis and Wendy & Peter Brooks.

Accommodation varied from cabin, camper trailers to tents. The weather was absolutely perfect (pity it wasn't in the same on the Coorong trip).

We set up the two shades on the lawn with the river view.

On Saturday several vehicles went to the 4WDing area in the scrub and did training assessing and playing, with some of the visitors (John & Glen) getting a lift and an insight to what a 4WD can do.

Saturday evening as we didn't have a campfire we went to the pub for dinner.

Sunday Fred took Jeanne for assessment and Fred's screams were heard way back at camp, and he came back white. Jeanne got the blame for bending two of my mud flap supports even though she didn't do it. Whilst several people were assessing whether vehicles could traverse a hill on the way down Geoff's right leg headed down the hill and the left went up behind his back. Luckily no damage, and no swearing because Heather was present. Snoopy testing his new Nissan Patrol 3LG auto found that at first it went downhill a bit fast sort of dropping then taking up, he then mastered the auto taking up before going over the edge.

About lunchtime Sunday most were packing and heading home.

It was a pleasant weekend with good weather.
