After arriving Friday evening and checking into the bunkhouse, we thought we might go down and see if anyone else had arrived down at the campsite. Upon arrival we came across an eerie sight, Bills Defender left abandoned with doors open and yet no one in sight! The only other thing around was the tent all securely zipped up. Thoughts went through my head (has Bill finally pushed a Nissan driver just that bit too much and been done away with?).

Before I jump to too many conclusions better check the tent out. But what if? Surely not at their age, (play it safe, send the kids in) "Kids go see if Bills in the tent." Then I heard a cry came from the tent, "Hang on, give me another 30 seconds!"

It was now my punishment to write the trip report, Bill set up a small drum fire which seemed to make a few residents of the park jealous. That evening the Bond’s, Gee’s and Halsall’s joined us as we all sat and chattered and had a few drinks around the fire.

9am came and we met our now familiar visitors Rick and Cindy plus Iggy and Jocelyn and set off for the waterfall. After a short walk we found ourselves at the bottom of the fall, where Iggy and Lee decided to climb to the top whilst Carol decided to slide to the bottom. Back in our cars we head towards the coast with a rest stop at a camp site and then on to an old mine site where some enjoyed a slightly challenging walk.

Lunch time at the coast where you found some spectacular views off to Kangaroo Island, at this spot we also found a little spot for playing 4x4. After lunch we headed off to Cape Jervis where the guy in the caravan kiosk wished he stocked up in white Magnums.

Around the coast where we checked out the views and the proposed sites for two of the new wind farms. When finished these farms will have 23 windmills 100m tall that will produce enough power for approx. 18,000 homes per farm. We now farewell Rick and Cindy who headed home for a busy weekend.

Back at the park for happy hour, which continued into tea, we enjoyed tonight at the parks camp kitchen, which had a lovely fireplace and offered panoramic views of Normanville countryside.

Sunday arrived and Bill took us to peaceful Myponga beach and to check out the resivour also. Lunchtime gave us an opportunity to check out the crafts in the local Sunday market where we farewell Dean, Deb., Chelsea, Alan and Ineke.

Lee suggested we check out the Widow maker at Sellicks hill, where Iggy and Jocelyn jumped in with Lee to head up the hill for breathtaking views of the coast and a little 4x4ing. At Sellicks Hill hotel we all parted company and headed home, thanks Bill and Carol for an entertaining weekend.
