"Working Horse Display" .... Mallala .... Sunday 27th July

In attendance was Carol, Bill, Jeanne & Geoff.

Entry was free and static displays included:

19 vintage cars, 22 vintage motor cycles. 5 vintage tractors, approx 23 stationary engines (about 80% working) and a horse driven 1890 chaff cutter and baler.

There were also crafts and alpaca and wool spinning on di splay, food & drink was provided at a normal price. (Lots of home-made cakes etc.) About 12 Clydesdale's competed in a long rein competition, posting a letter, walking over logs, weaving in and out of witches hats, through an arch & passage of bright coloured streamers & flags and did a U-Turn in a roped confined circle.

It was amusing to see the gentle giants scared of a red letter box or backing away from 75mm high plastic ducks placed on the course.

It was a very pleasant and relaxing day.
