Christmas at Normanville
It was a great weekend! This was the first trip my husband John and I had been on and we had a fabulous time. The weather wasn’t the kindest, we had heat, cold and rain but nobody let it spoil the fun! Bill tried to convince John that he should drive our cruiser along the beach to Cape Jervois and it would only take him three hours!
Thanks to Lee (hope I spelt your name right) for helping us poor novices put up our borrowed tent. We need to toughen up our sleeves and learn lots of camping, four wheel driving things, but we think we did pretty good at the ‘happy 5 or 6 hour’ session.
Lunch was delicious and everyone really appreciated the effort that Carol had put into the organising and the cooking. I think she went a bit far though with the lightening storm and the four spot bushfires for lunchtime entertainment!
Next year though can we please get someone else to choose the music!
We met a lot of nice "Wanderers" and hope to meet a lot more.
Thanks heaps for a good weekend folks.
