South Australian Country Music Festival & Awards ....

All at the Riverland Country & Western Festival enjoyed a very entertaining weekend.

Rick & Cindy, Cliff & Jean, RobRoy, Maggie & Gareth, Bill, Colleen, Corey & Marilyn,

Visitors: Dawn & John, Marg & Ken, Ron & Annette.

There was a very busy program of events and we all did our own thing. We met up Saturday night at the Berri Club, a Sunday morning drive to Katarapto Creek, Sunday afternoon listening to Ron Wade at the Berri Caravan Park, Sunday night in a huge marquee at the Cobdogla Caravan Park & Monday at the Bonney Theatre with the Talent Quest.

Bill, Colleen, Corey and Marilyn were performing at the Berri Club where we dined and danced the night away. Young Corey (5yrs) again gave a great performance singing and playing guitar on stage with Bill. Marilyn made her on-stage debut singing only the one song. (Bill must be afraid of me getting all of the applause, as I have yet to be asked to use my vocal chords)

A wise decision was made to stay at the caravan parks as we found the majority of campsites were closed at Katarapto due to the wet weather.

I found on this trip that Bill is not the only performer that encores himself, as all of the artists just love to perform. Bill, Ron Wade, the Cobby Marquee and the Talent Quest all gave 4 to 5 hours of listening pleasure.

While strolling around Rocky's Country Music Hall of Fame, we found that Bill has been inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2003.
