Clare I missed the first part of this “trip with a purpose” as I had to take Gareth to footy on the Saturday morning. So by the time I caught up with the rest of the group they had already arrived at the Clare property and set up camp. Camp, by the way, was on the top of a hill with no roads or visible tracks to get there. I was told over the 2way to find my own way to the top, which I did. Once at the top of the hill I was greeted by Andrew, Sarah, Eric, Shelley, John, Kym and a pack of dogs of various breeds. So after greeting everyone I enquired as to the purpose of this trip and was told that we were camped on the site of where John and Kym’s new home is to be. The purpose of the trip was to try and figure out the best driveway approach to the top of the hill from the entrance to the property. So we spent some time walking up and down the hill trying to figure out the best route. After a while we decide to drive the route with our cars to make a track and see how difficult it would be. John managed to drive all the way up in 2 wheel drive along the selected route. So we decided if Delica can make it up the route, anything can. Bored with this we took a drive around the property and everyone got a chance to lead the group. Then in the evening we celebrated Johns birthday with some cake around the fire. In the morning we did some more driving around the property before heading for home. Thank you to John and Kym for having us over and good luck with the new home.
