History
Way back in 2003 the Wanderers decided we would go to Gleeson's landing on Yorke Peninsula and participate in the Clean Up Australia annual event and we have been involved ever since. On that trip we played Off-Road Bocce with the competition being very strong I decided to have a championship every year. So the next year 2004 our Annual Off-Road Bocce Competition was borne.
This year numbers for the CUA trip were down so I decided to have it at Carrieton as our participation is usually quite strong for this event.

Growl, was that a tiger or a pussy, make up your own mind on that one. Not so early on Sunday morning after an exhausting night around the campfire we gathered for the long awaited stoush. It was noticed that the stress was too much for many with of some of last season's front runners not attending finishing their hopes for this season.
Was the thought of facing this formidable field to much to bear?
Let the Games CommenceBefore a ball had been thrown JC had already lodged an appeal, where was his champion partner, but he couldn't get any but Merry to listen.
With time a factor the rules were changed yet again.
There were three groups of two teams playing 4 ends winners to go into the semis were the 4 teams, John [Ned] & Eric, Kym & Sarah, Andrew & David and Tony & Bill) then played two semis, one end sudden death playoffs. All through these games there were warnings and sanctions from the championship chief judge JC but again no one listened. Ned had about 15 fouls all up but still played off in the semis, where will this behaviour end?
Finally we had the two teams who would compete in the sudden death playoff final; they were Kym & Sarah and Tony & Bill.
Sudden Death Final
With the semis decided it was time for the sudden death final to give us our 2010 champions, JC threw the jack into a gnarly rocky crevice which caused displeasure from the competitors'. Kym threw he first ball which kissed the jack and try as they might the opposition could not shift or better it.
2010 champions take a bow, Kym & Sarah with Tony & Bill gallant runners up.
