John the Hero ...

Well what can I say? We had to wait for everyone to leave before the real fun began! Besides that, we didn't want anyone to know. So don't tell anyone but BILL. Yes, that's the perfect Bill B, the man who does everything perfectly and if you don't believe me just look at his car. Well maybe it should be called more than a car, a Limo. Carefully placed a tent peg through a water hose. Apparently he had to try about 5 times before he got it, but he did manage to get it.

Now, it must also be told that the hose was about 4 feet down so he had to get a large peg to make it all the way down. After the owner, Phil Fisher, left with some sheep. Apparently he and his mate sheared a sheep and wanted some privacy, so they left and went on a trip with the said sheep in the back. Now I don't know what happened but when he came back there where three sheep so some investigation has to be made to find out more, I believe.

Back to the pipe. Bill came and admitted his aim to Jayne Fisher, asking how to turn the water off. Jayne replied with, "Don't worry, just get in the car and go, you can get further away before Phil comes back." But I put him straight. I said, "I'll help." So I came to the rescue and found the source of water supply and managed to turn the supply off. This was an adventurous task, but I managed. Wow what a hero I am.

Going back to the site of the leaking water I find Bill and Eric digging a hole and being scared of getting wet.

Yet again I came to the rescue and helped dig all the way down and then a path for the water to leave the scene. Now, all they had to do is cut the hole out. Apparently Eric had a knife, just like Crocodile Dundee, so he attempted to cut the hole out.

I thought I had better see if I can find some items to fix the pipe once the hole was removed. So off I went searching the bush and scrub for a free roaming 1¼ inch pipe joiner. After some searching and adventure I came back bloodied and bruised after all them wild 1¼ inch pipe joiners can get rough. Back at the water leak Eric and Bill were still scared of getting wet. You see, as they were cutting more water was being squirted at them, so they tried to blame me for the water still being on. So like a real hero I looked again and it definitely was off, it was just the fact that Bill had foreseen this event and found the lowest place to put the hole in the pipe. I grabbed the knife from Eric and cut the hose with no care for my own safety.

With success at this the water flow soon stopped. With the new pipe joiner in hand I joined the two parts in their perspective places on the pipe with a hammer from Bill. But now I required a block of wood to protect the pipe joiner, so off I went and found a tree, cut it down, carved it down to a nice square piece of wood to protect the joiner.

While Bill had hammer in hand, I put my life in danger once again and held the wood while I nodded and Bill hit it. Once the pieces of joiner were in place the two ends came together in perfect harmony.

I ran all the way back up the hill to turn the water back on and sure enough the problem was fixed all before Phil came back, with a smile on his face. He was none the wiser other than the hole in the ground.

Now if you believe any part of that, you don't deserve to be part of the Wanderers 4WD club.
